Looking forward to meeting you!

The majority of People Managers want to succeed and are willing to invest in their own development, but companies rarely provide the resources.

I started my career like most of us, as an individual contributor out of college not certain about what I really wanted to do long term. I found myself in HR which I later found to be largely due to my "Strengths" as defined by Gallup. I was passionate about helping others and solving problems in the workplace. After a year or so I started managing people. Being driven to help people put me in a position to influence others, share what I had learned, and join in their successes.

As my career progressed in HR, I found it was the perfect place to do this on a broad scale with the whole organization. After years of leading teams, I wanted to go bigger - driven to share what I had learned with more managers across multiple industries.

Gallup research shows only 32% of employees in the US are "engaged" and the direct manager influences over 70% of that engagement score! Managers have accepted such a big responsibility, and the way in which you manage your team can have an enormous impact on not only your own success, but the success and well-being of your team as well.

Over the last decade, I've worked closely with CEO's, Senior Executives, and HR leaders on one important theme - the health and success of People Managers in their organizations. People Managers carry an enormous weight and in my experience don't receive enough support. I'm changing that. I've taken all my work over the last decade and made it available in trainings, guides, papers and podcasts in Manager Material. I want to see you succeed, and I want your teams to win because of you.
